Come with us and experience "Journey 2 Be You"
An Eight Day Seven Night Retreat for Women June 15-22, 2008 or July 18-25, 2008,
Perfectly Paired with the Splendor of Alaska!!!

How long has it been since you listened to that little voice in your heart?
The one that whispers the Secrets of YOU...
The Outrageously Alive, Indescribably Delicious and Passionately Caring YOU?
The YOU that may have been put on hold or even lost in the TO DO Lists of Life.
It’s time for You to BE You.

The author of the human drama entrusted your unique and essential part to you alone.
No one else has been given your lines.
You play no small part because there is no small part to be played.

“Live your life or it won’t be lived.”

RETREAT OVERVIEW

The design of the first three days allows you time after you arrive in Alaska to let go of stress and obligations as you become inspired by the beauty and splendor of Alaska and settle into a rhythm with your traveling companions of ease, fun, and connection.

Carolyn remembers the first time she was in Alaska and how she was continually amazed at having bright daylight at midnight!  BE PREPARED!  It is Carolyn’s style to do unusual and unexpected activities to take advantage of the moment to make memories.

“At the height of laughter the universe is flung into a kaleidoscope of new possibilities.”

- Jean Houston

We will spend the first night in Anchorage and then head south to the world famous Kenai Peninsula on day two.  This is no “Cruise by Alaska” experience as it will include stops to take in the scenic majesty of the inspiring mountains and vistas via all of our senses and with photo opportunities along the way.  Later in the day we will glide across Resurrection Bay into Kenai Fjords National Park and marvel at the beauty of a tidewater glacier up close while enjoying wildlife and sea life viewing.  In addition (if the scenery itself isn’t enough!) we will sample Alaskan cuisine, and shop in the quaint village of Seward.

For Early Birds on the third morning, a hike to Exit Glacier will be inspiring.  Late morning we will continue our drive to Homer and picnic along the glacier blue waters of the Kenai River.   Mid-afternoon we will arrive at Homer where you will have time to sight see and shop.  Early evening, we will journey by ferry across the breathtaking Kachemak Bay to the beautiful tranquil Still Point Lodge for the remainder of our time together.

The four days that we will spend at the idyllic Stillpoint Lodge will be filled with guided workshops, quiet time, meditation, reflection, creative endeavors (It’s not true what your 2nd grade teacher told you about your artistic skills!), nature walks, moving to the music of our souls, hikes, kayaking, talking from the heart, laughing until we cry, crying until we laugh, feasting on the SPLENDOR of the moment... This Glorious Moment of Our Lives!

This insightful retreat will truly nourish you from within as you:

Stimulate your mind when you thoughtfully explore and share about topics such as: What am I grateful for at this moment in my life?  Who has been instrumental in my success?  Who and what brings me JOY?  What is calling my name?  Where do I think I can make a difference?  What is my purpose in life the reason I walk this earth?  What would make me feel “complete”?

"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy.
They are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom."

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Experience a lightness of energy in your body through a variety of outdoor activities like walking, light hiking, easy guided kayaking or simply “being in nature”.   It is in the change of view, and the emptying of the mind that you may suddenly become aware of an insight and may be amazed at your “discovery” of something so important.

In addition it is by being fully present in each step of your life that you will discover the richness of the sensory moments to enliven each moment of your day.  You will honor your body by eating healthy meals, sleeping and napping as the need seems to call, soaking into the depth of your being as you “allow the sunshine and invigorating air” to fill up all of the places within that need to be replenished.

“Listen carefully as the wind reflects in the dance of the leaves
as they write beautiful poetry across the sky.”

Experience your gleeful spirit come alive when you quiet the voice of your external world and become one with yourself through meditation, journal writing and quiet reflection.  It is in silence that we truly become aware of what is important.

“The earth has music for those who listen."

- William Shakespeare
